Very annoying.I called around several shops and got the best helpful service over the phone from Sykes Jewellers. The clock was a gift so I needed to get it repaired within 48 hours. He told me to bring it in and he would have a look. When I arrived clock in hand at the small traditional jewellers, I entered and the shop was empty, a bell rang and out popped a smiling Malcolm Sykes. He started fiddling and within a few minutes he handed the clock back to with the words, that should do it. He had fixed my clock, no charge. I suggested he had done himself out of the fee and he wouldn't be in business very long doing that.He said that didn't really matter, he'd been in business for 25 years, all his repairs guaranteed. He also gave me a load of local information about a lovely village Newtown Linford just up the hill and another local attraction Bradgate Park. He was so compelling we went to take a look.It was one of those amazing experiences, makes you just want to give him your business. I'm totally blown away, people like Mr. Sykes renew my faith in human nature. I prefer to be comfortable than dressed up that said I work hard, earn a decent amount of money I like to spend on overseas travel and collecting vintage jewellery which I buy and don’t wear. I am happier tracking in South America or on safari exploring animal sanctuaries and nature reserves across Africa where I have visited on five different occasions, Ghana, Senegal in West Africa, South Africa and Sudan and Kenya on the East coast. I would love to visit Victoria falls and see the Gorillas in Uganda. I am a vegetarian and don’t smoke but enjoy a glass of decent wine and love tasting local wine when I travel. x Comments are only visible to subscribers. Contact author Message sent.
