The CO-OP think there's a better way to do things.
They are not just a company. They work as a cooperative. In other words, the hundreds of thousands of individuals who shop at their supermarkets, receive assistance from the funeral services, and their co-workers own part of the business. As a company they ethically and sustainably source their seasonal delights and your daily necessities. My neighbourhood supermarket has something for everyone, from some tasty vegan and Free From options to budget-friendly Honest Value collection. They offer more than just excellent customer service and convenience, they seek to feed the community's most needy members, stock locally sourced goods, and invest in community projects, building a sustainable society for everybody is the goal.
Why I Love My Local Co-Op Store in Countesthorpe.
The staff at my local Co-Op are always welcoming and happy to see me with some using my name, which I like. They greet everyone with a big smile, making shopping a pleasant experience. Whenever I have questions, they are quick to help and always do their best to find things I am unable to locate. Their willingness to assist adds a personal touch that is hard to find elsewhere and lovely Jeanie, bless her, is the most optimistic server I have ever encountered. She treats everyone with love like they are members of her own family and you cannot help to feel good when she serves you. The delicious apple Danish pastries, apple pies and bread, made fresh ever day, are a godsend for someone busy like me. I wish they would stock more vegan options but they are slowly getting there.
The store opens long hours, which is very convenient for busy schedules.
Whether I need groceries early or late, I can count on them being open and these factors make my local Co-Op store a cherished part of my village life.
