I included The Good Life in the restaurant round up I wrote this time last year. We are very lucky in our neighbourhood St John’s Wood, Primrose Hill, and Hampstead we have so many excellent and very different options available depending on your budget, the occasion and what you fancy.
I never really went to the Good Life that much, for me it’s more a nicer Starbucks with a great internet connection young upwardly mobile professionals use as a workspace than a place to sit down and have a relaxed lunch and a chat.
That said they have put a breakfast burrito on their menu I am a little bit addicted to.
The place itself is like a modern hipster cafe with probably the most healthy menu on the high st in St John’s Wood, located at the bottom corner opposite the park with the chichi expensive French bistro Soutine adjacent.
On a budget for a quick bite or coffee The Good Life is a beach style or on the water cafe that wouldn’t be out of place in Portland Oregon or Seattle Washington, West Coast Australia, Perth or Fremantle.
Looking for veggie or vegan options this is probably the best place to go in St John’s Wood. Healthy salads, grains, high fibre bowls are on the menu alongside tasty sandwiches complimented by healthy juices and smoothies.
It’s a bright and airy interior with a window bar and stools to watch the world go by. With wooden tables and modern chairs exposed ceilings and modern light fixtures.
If you’ve got less than an hour to grab a bite, are watching your calories or working on getting healthy this is a great option.
And if you’ve like a breakfast burrito, all the fresh Mexican flavours combined with fluffy scrambled eggs, homemade guacamole with enough heat to tantalise your taste buds then go and try their offering.
It’s something so good you’ll want to return.
