Just mention, pak Choi, bean sprouts noodles, spring onions, sesame seeds you already feel like you are in a different country.
I lived in Australia for a while so when I came back to the UK the search for healthy food options was a struggle, vegetarian sure but completely plant based options are hard to find.
This spot is in the Great Western Arcade in Birmingham and I was attracted by the super colourful photographs inside.
It’s not all plant, they offer raw fish, salmon, sushi, but the principle is a bowl with a whole host of fruits, vegetables, and rice and then you just add the protein or not which was great for me.
I’ve visited Hawaii a couple of times and I am not sure where the connection is in terms of the food. Except I guess for the word Poke.
The idea I love though,
A five step bowl,
Base it, fill it, top it, dress it finish it.
When you fill it, for plant based they offer miso oyster mushrooms, or tofu (of which I am not a fan) but plenty of other substitutes and on the base there were a few options like quinoa if you don’t want sushi rice or brown rice.
Amazing to have found something out of the ordinary.
Really hope people support.
