I like shopping in Covent Garden, I like the massive Apple Store, I like the people watching, I like the shops, Alo yoga on Neal st, and Varley stores are now my go to shops when once it might have been Benneton and Stefanel. The Ivy is a posh cafe of sorts. The decor inside is a visual spectacle and all the Ivy restaurants are known for there over the top interiors. I always have the same table. The staff make a point to know me and I like that even if they don’t really.I usually order the onion soup, I like the theatre how it comes. It’s the kind of place you see the same people, they definitely have regulars like me. It’s smart and very relaxed. Exceptional top notch service, yet very friendly. If you like 5 star you don’t have to dress up for this is a good place for you. It’s not inexpensive although no one would say anything if you just ordered coffee and dessert.A starter and a drink expect to pay £25 including service. If you want to put a main course on there nit much change out of £40 but you’ll absolutely love it. I love combining vermeil with precious stones to offer my customers something better and more unique than the more aspirational jewellery brands like Monica Vinader. I am lucky to have had some good press in Stylist magazine and a tiny mention in Vogue a few years back. I get to work from our beautiful Georgian townhouse which we struggled to buy 25 years ago and together with my husband (my parents call him that, we are not actually married) Ron, who works in film finance we have renovated and turned into the perfect haven for us. One day at Chelsea town hall maybe. A rockstar wedding maybe is on the cards, followed by the pub, always the Ship on Wandsworth bridge for us and then Bali I think. My dream vacation destination, somewhere I’ve never been and longed for flicking through my monthly Conde Nast Traveller subscription. x Comments are only visible to subscribers.
