You probably have good opinion of Coca Cola, most of us have been a customer at some time in our lives. And if some said get me a Coke you probably wouldn’t think much about it.

Yet in some parts of the world, in South America, in Africa, Coca Cola is more accessible than clean drinking water. They have used the power of marketing and advertising to grow a global soft drinks business worth a staggering $46 billion dollars (and that’s net) in 2023 and pretty much on the back of one product and it’s diet and zero versions.

I know Coco cola sell other products but can you name one, I’d guess Fanta but not 100% sure without checking.

So this one product Coca Cola that until quite recently was sold predominately in plastic bottles along side marketing campaigns featuring big fluffy white polar bears in 2012 when WWF said it’s a win for polar bears, it was coca colas most successful campaign ever.

Polar bears adorned every Coke can in North America during fall and winter 2012, encouraging the public to make a donation that would be matched by the company.

Perhaps it was their way to make up for the impact the plastic bottles had made.

When my car leaked oil on an expensive pale stone driveway of a house I was visiting I was advised to try Coca Cola to get it off, it worked.

I have also used a bottle of Coca Cola to clean my toilet, works better than domestos.

I have also been told by my dentist if I want to keep my smile the Coca Cola has to go.

I love a coke, when I have one I want another, I guess the reason for the $46 billion net profit last year, so I am conscious of over indulging. I still have one from time to time and like anything that’s really not good for me or the planet I keep it in moderation.
