Luke Berry Shah’s salon is beautiful, stylish and unpretentious and right from our first conversation on the phone I got the impression he was a different kind of stylist.
_
He listened, asked questions, wasn't rigid and seemed to care more about what I needed than pushing his opinions and ideas on me. He exuded a quiet confidence. I was feeling extremely positive and excited about my appointment before I booked in.
_
I visited him every week for about a year (excluding the lockdown) and my blow dries and colour were consistent. I was delighted to have finally found someone who could produce a result that lasted more than a few hours, actually a few days.
_
He took over my colour which I am also very happy with. And the salon uses Vegan cruelty free products which I also support so all in all if you are in search of an exceptional stylist with genuine skills who doesn't cut corners, Luke's your guy.
I’d say you are in safe hands.
Everything was fine for about a year until we had a disagreement about my cut.
Now I understand cuts can go wrong and no one likes their work being criticised but we had an altercation which wasn’t good for either of us.
We got over it, we both apologised and I thought that was the end of it but when I tried to book in again instead of straightforwardly telling me he preferred not to do my hair, he booked me in weeks in advance saying he was busy and then cancelled me.
I have since tried again to resolve things but Luke decided to block me on social media instead.
Great hairdresser, for me you cannot win them all.
