I have visited this salon quite a few times when I am on St Johns Wood High St, not always with an appointment and have always had a good experience. It does get busy around holiday periods so booking ahead is always advisable especially to ensure getting in with your preferred stylist.
The salon is bright, light and spacious, having undergone a recent makeover. The welcome is professional and well organised by Hannah and Sheniz on reception who remember me even when I haven’t been for a while.
The hair washing experience is really good, the focus is a thorough wash not a thorough gossip something I really appreciate before being passed over to which one of quite a few different stylists.
I have tried a few and they are all good, Alex, Sam, Andy, Michael, and not forgetting salon owner Ali who is always smiling.
The prices are not over the top for London, £90 for cut and blow, £40
for a blow dry, £120 for full colour and I always feel well looked after when I leave.
For anyone looking for facial aesthetics, injections and fillers (not something I have tried) they have a clinic downstairs and if you've got long dark tresses and need a balayage or extension expert you can trust there's always a few of these appointments happening and I've seen some spectacular transformations walk out of this salon.
You can tell how well a hair salon is regarded by the customers and this one reminds me of salons in New York or Los Angeles where it's impossible to get an appointment, always packed with good looking people many with long or longer length hair.
The main difference, at Studio 66 they will always do their best to accommodate you and get you what you need even with short notice, not always so at other salons.
