Today’s internet customers utilise Google’s search engine as their destination to discover entry into new territories, much like a shipping company has a port. Like the shipping company, Google also made the decision that it can take advantage of anyone using its port, including destroying them, if it so chooses. Thus, Google ruined the newspaper industry. The brains in Tech-land embezzled all of the advertising money, which is why local newspapers went bankrupt, destroying thousands of jobs and companies in the process.
In the same way that shipping companies no longer try to subjugate nations, this was completely superfluous. They learnt this lesson from the failure of several maritime enterprises. Since it hasn’t learnt its lesson yet, Google believes it has the authority to regulate everything that is searched for. Google has no morals; if you pay them a lot of money, they can help customers find your company. When you stop providing them money, you quickly lose sight of them. They want every business on the planet to pay for ad space, from independent fashion to fast food and dining, yet not every business can appear on a google search.
Complete dominance is never sustainable, as we are all aware. Consider all of the past tyrants who believed they were too strong to be stopped. They fail to see that creating a large number of adversaries every day is not a good long-term strategy. Like all subconscious automatic mind behaviour, we still go to Google first when we need something, even though they have had their day, made their money, and destroyed more small independent businesses than I could possibly name at this time.
It’s time for someone to hurry down the tech highway and give Google and other companies some healthy competition. Getting the herd to adopt a new mindset won’t be simple, but we must keep in mind that dominance and greed only have bad effects in the long run. Just notice how the same few large firms that paid a lot to participate are always returned to you when you search on Google the next time. Because they spend the most to be in front of you, companies like Amazon, eBay, Nike, and McDonald’s will always appear first. Small independent businesses pay to play, but not enough to ever be noticed.
Poopsnoop is set to become the disruptor for google, giving small independent brands, services and people a voice, beyond the pay to play world of big advertising spends and monopolies.
