Have you noticed the rise of the expresso Martini, not sure when this wave started but they are everywhere, everyone’s favourite tipple right now a bit like the cosmopolitan was for our Moms 20 years ago, Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker nostalgia.

For anyone who’s spend anytime in the USA you’ll already be familiar with pina colada mix or margareta mix, just add booze and now tails have brought the concept at 14.9% alcohol already in one easy £12.50 on sale at Waitrose bottle.

UK restaurant chains like Zizzi’s and Pizza Express have picked up on the offering and run with it serving the sought after drink for between £8 and £10

The only problem is if you are used to drinking an expresso martini made by a bartender, the cocktail mix version is not remotely the same.

The easy way to know if you are getting a pre-made martini instead of shaken not stirred is look for the bartender.

The tails version is more like a pudding so definitely give it a try if you like sweet and sweeter.
