The Fruitory and Bamboo Factory

Lovely street food and smoothie biz Leicester

Since writing this I have discovered the fruitory has been forced to close and is now a web based business offering a delicious smoothie bar for your special event. I am sad to discover this but shows how vulnerable independent business can be even when you do things amazingly well.

I wanted to write this snoop because the owners of these two vibrant businesses deserve it.

I am not in Leicester very often but when I am I try and make a point of going to get a Greek gyros and a fruit smoothie to support them.

It’s a happy place. You can tell the people behind the counter have put their hearts and souls into this small independent business and you can feel it.

The music, the smiles, the energy, it’s the type

of place that fills you up and that’s before you eat the food.

Flattery will get you every where. I even remember receiving a genuine compliment from the guy who served me, something even rarer in this day and age.
